Agatha Christie Stamps

29th November 2016

To mark 100 years since the great crime writer published her first book, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, Royal Mail have released some special edition stamps. Apart from being beautifully illustrated by Neil Webb, the other special thing about these six stamps of Agatha Christies’ stories is the hidden clues. These concealed hints can be revealed using either a magnifying glass, UV light or body heat and and provide pointers to the mysteries’ solutions. The cases chosen were Murder on the Orient Express, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, And There Were None and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.

Agatha Christie’s novels were some of my favourites growing up, a joy to read and with great character descriptions – I was always got sucked in! I loved emerging myself in the period and I feel the designer Jim Sutherland has captured that Art Deco vibe with his dark and moody colour palette.

You can purchase them here from the Royal Mail.
