Woody's Pizza Cornwall new logo design

Woody’s Wood Fired Pizza

We started working with Woody’s Pizza in 2016 to extend their existing brand. Woody’s was a horse box or pop up stand serving delicious and authentic wood fired pizza ideal for weddings, events, festival and parties. We designed this loyalty card for them to hand out to local customers using uncoated stock so the colours really saturate. We then illustrated a tomato vine for the stamp to add to the retro fun.

Woody's wood fired pizza pop up menu

This is the menu we designed, with elements from their website which is coming soon. We used the lovely photographs to add the drama, texture and authenticity to the A5 mailer and used blocks of colour for the logo and text.

The front shows where their pop up pizza’s can be found.

The back is the menu which we laid out on the textured stone background. The menus were printed in a heavy uncoated stock to add to their premium feel.

Woody's wood fired pizza home page by pickle design

Our first website for Woody’s! The home page made use of great photographs and their fluid logo with fading images. Key quotes and information is presented in bitesize chunks. There are typographic quick links to key pages in the same style as the logo and an Instagram feed. We also incorporated a character our client had designed to the footer.

We made use of texture to display the menu, in a format our client can edit.

The main categories, events, pop-ups and festivals have a different format. They are more spacious with a smaller main image and an inset picture. We also have a contact page with reply form and a news box that Woody’s can keep up to date. The whole website has a cool, sign-written feel fitting in with the Woody’s brand.

Woody's Pizza Cornwall new logo design

2019 brought a new direction at Woody’s Pizza, our clients wanted to re-brand and they moved out of the horse box into Saltbox, a street food container complex in Wadebridge, Cornwall. We wanted to keep that same cool vibe with a nod to the retro. Red, orange and black are the colours with a pizza slice acting as an apostrophe.

For the menu we created a retro inspired design using just the red, orange and black of the logo. We printed on brown textured paper, A4 folded to A5.

Eye-catching design keeps the information short and sweet.

The menus will be available at the Saltbox container hub in Wadebridge and hand delivered to the surrounding area.

Woody's Wood Fired Pizza retro website

In 2020 we launched their new website! Carrying on that retro feel from their logo we used red, orange and black with a background of textured cardboard to add depth. Relying mainly on our illustration rather than photography for this design, there’s a playful feel. Easy to edit for our clients to update text and menus as well as an Instagram gallery.
