The 2012 Pickle Design Calendar
As has become quite a Pickle Design tradition, we designed a calendar to send out to all our clients. In the past we have experimented with formats, bringing you a bookmark calendar, badges, a poster and last year's illustrated concertina. This year Carl thought up a concept based on a colour wheel, inspired by Pantone colour charts and mixing paints. Then I set about developing this idea into a full colour A4 calendar.
2012 is also very special to us as we have been established now for 5 years and this calendar was the first chance our clients would get to see our new branding.
Although at first glance this calendar may look complex, I actually think it is quite user friendly. The months frame a circle with the days of the week fanning out in gradating shades that the seasons suggest. We used a dense, good quality paper, 350gsm and 100% recycled.
So for us at Pickle we see the future looking very bright indeed, positively Technicolour!
