Our First Pickle Event
All here at Pickle are very happy with how our recent exhibition went. On Friday the 1st of October we converted the studio into an exciting gallery space to exhibit the work of international artist, John O'Carroll. We have worked with John for a few years now, and all of us really love his work. Previously we have designed a website and book to showcase his work, and right now we are working on his new edition.

So it was out with all our designer clutter (and a premature spring clean!), and up with John's impressive art pieces. Marie designed an invitation and we teamed up with clients, Wadebridge Wines - whom we had just completed branding, stationery and vehicle livery - to complete the evening with a wine tasting. And the evening was a success! We had a great number of guests, some of our existing clients and some who we had never met before. |
| There was a lovely array of canapes provided by Stephanie Greaves and Maria Spencer, and of course the wine tasting! Tamsin Jones was brimming with charisma and passion for her wines, and gave an introduction to wine tasting that was informative and fun. Next we came to John's talk. We had helped him put together a projected presentation showing the journey of John's inspiration, from the Dakha dessert in Egypt, to sparse Dutch landscapes and the ancient moors and coastline of Cornwall. |

John's large artworks fitted well in our studio space, despite their size, jutting from the walls and commanding the space. He even set up a table so people could see how the pigments were ground and the sketch books showing his thought process. Our computers were set up to display John's website and our own. There was also a sneak preview of the new book, close to completion. |

The exhibition proved to be a lovely evening, and we would just like to thank all who made the effort to come and all those who helped out.
